Beginning our getaway by helicopter we then trek by foot and the encounter the magnificent spirit and scenery of the Southern Alps.
The mountains of the Southern Alps cut a dazzling silhouette against the sky as they ride along the western side of the South Island of New Zealand. It forms a natural dividing range along the entire length of the South Island and contains some 360 glaciers, the largest of which – the Tasman Glacier – is 29 kilometers in length.
With Stunning diamond-cut peaks, wide alluvial valleys, ancient forests, volcanic lakes, Greenstone Rivers, blue-ice glaciers and wildlife you will witness the spectacular natural beauty of this countryside. This trip will be an enlivening adventure and an unforgettable journey.

Day 1We arrive in Queenstown.

Day 2Escort to Wanaka. Helicopter flight to Treble Cone, with scenery of the spectacular mountains. Camping at Blue Creek.

Day 3Ascend up the ridge to Polnoon Burn, then stroll through the valley amongst rugged alpine terrain.

Day 4Stroll along the river to Sharks Tooth hut. Enjoy breathtaking sights as we mount to the 'Rollercoaster' ridge (2029m), then onto the summit of Black Peak (2289m).

Day 5Trek the ridgeline back to Treble Cone, stopping regularly to take pleasure in the mountain and lake Transfer vistas. to Wanaka.

Day 6Drive around Lake Wanaka to Diamond Lake, a landscape carved by ice age glaciers. From Diamond Lake viewing platform is the circuit to Rocky Mountain, with incredible views over the Southern Alps.

Day 7Adventure finishes after breakfast in Queenstown.
